Doaa Mohamed
Assistant Head of MoE
I am Doaa, the Assistant Headteacher for Arabic and Islamic Education. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree, completed in 2005, and pursued postgraduate studies in the Faculty of Education, where I specialized in Curriculum and Teaching Methods. I also earned a Master's degree in Language Teaching Methods. Over the years, I have held various roles across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In my most recent position in Dubai, I was responsible for developing Arabic and Islamic Education, as well as quality assurance for Ministry of Education subjects within a prestigious educational group.
In my current role at GEMS Winchester school, I lead the Arabic and Islamic Education departments, oversee the achievements of Emirati students, and promote cultural awareness of Emirati heritage and Islamic values. My vision is to inspire a lifelong love for the Arabic language and Islamic values, empowering students with linguistic proficiency and a deep understanding of their cultural and spiritual heritage. My team and I aim to cultivate reflective, responsible, and respectful individuals who are rooted in their identity and equipped to contribute positively to both local and global communities. Through innovative teaching, a supportive learning environment, and meaningful connections to the UAE’s rich heritage, we strive to foster excellence, integrity, and cultural pride in every student.
